ROBERT WUSS
Specializing in robotics and perception, Robert is a Technical Director/Producer and Creative Technologist living in Los Angeles. Recent and current credits include Puppy Love Agency, Hush Studio, Yada Studio, and Field London . He was recently a company member and Technical Artist of The Wooster Group (New York City) and has designed/ toured internationally with the company. Works include A Pink Chair (2017), The B-Side (2017), The Town Hall Affair (2016), and The Room (2015). His designs with the company have been seen in major venues which recently includes: St. Ann’s Warehouse (New York), The Barbican Centre (Lift Festival, London), The Sydney Opera House, (Sydney Festival, Sydney), the Centre Pompidou, (Festival d'Automne, Paris), Kaai Theater, (Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Brussels).
Robert is also an Associate Producer for the Performa Biennial in New York City. During the 2017 Biennial he designed and produced for Teju Cole (New York), Kemang Wa Lehulere (South Africa),Tracey Rose (South Africa)and Yto Barrada (Morocco) . In 2013 (Ryan McNamara) and 2017 (Kemang Wa Lehulere) were presented the Malcolm McLaren award for most innovative productions during the Biennial.
While living in New York, Robert engaged in an active community of designers and artists. This work includes The McKittrick Hotel ( Home of Sleep No More, Punchdrunk), MoMA PS1, Signature Theater Company, 3-Legged Dog, Pipeline Theater Company, and Ars Nova.
Robert previously studied at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, as part of the Interactive Architecture Lab's MArch in Design for Performance and Interaction 2019.
